Message from the Principal
Dear Washington High School Community:
My name is Clint Long, and I am proud to say that I am the new principal of Washington High School!
I began my career as a math teacher in Stockton, California and then moved to Burien, Washington before stepping into an Assistant Principal role at Foster High School in Tukwila School District in 2013. During my decade as a school administrator, I have had numerous experiences that have helped me refine my focus on leading schools to provide academic, social and personal growth among students.
I am excited about the rich diversity of Washington High School and eager to integrate myself into the Patriot community. I have a history of fostering a strong sense of community and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts among the teams that I led.
I am very grateful for the contributions of the Washington High School staff, students and families that assisted in the hiring process. Your insights helped to illuminate skills and perspectives that are important in the Patriot community. Your involvement also helped me determine that Washington High School is the place where I want to be.
We are working diligently to prepare for the 2024-2025 school year. It’s going to be a great year and I look forward to seeing you at a sporting event or school event soon!
GO PATS!
Mr. Long
